Of God and Machines
The future of artificial intelligence is neither utopian nor dystopian - it’s something much more interesting. I was delighted at first, and then I was deflated. I was once a professor of Shakespeare; I had dedicated quite a chunk of my life to studying literary history. My knowledge of style and my ability to mimic it had been hard-earned. Now a computer could do all that, instantly and much better.
Generative AI Is Amazing, but Humanity Is the Artist
Generative AI uses millions of images and works of art created by humans to create new pictures. So, who should be compensated? However, it is important to remember that generative AI systems are not creative. In fact, they’re not even intelligent. Let's discuss in this article!

Elon Musk Unveils His Tesla Robot, and It's at Least a Robot
Tesla's Optimus robot was unveiled at a three-hour event on a Friday. The robot is a wire-laden skeletal robot that can walk on its own. It can be tethered to an apparatus attached to the ceiling, and water plants with a big watering can. The Optimus bot is powered by the same autopilot hardware in tesla's cars. The ai was then re-tooled for its new environment, motion capturing real-world tasks like lifting a box. Musk claimed the bot was "the most important product development we're doing this year"

Where AI Fits in the Sam’s Club Tech Portfolio
Discount warehouses often sell goods at slimmer profit margins than individual products. The bottom line is member retention, says CTO at sam's club. Businesses using ai at scale can employ laser-like precision. Data backs executives looking to infuse more ai into their companies. Nearly one-third of revenue at tech-savvy companies is generated through ai-based capabilities. The key to success is creating a technology vision and strategy that is effective long-term.

Meta Announces Make-a-Video, Which Generates Video From Text
Make-a-video generates video from text or image prompts. It can also make variations of existing videos, though it's not yet available for public use. The key technology behind make-a-video is that it builds off existing work with text-to-image synthesis. Ai researcher Simon Willison examined the data set used to train meta's make-a-video model. Andy Baio noticed that 3. 3 million additional videos came from youtube. Willison also created a site that allows you to search through the video data set.
The Jerusalem Post: Want to Turn Photos Into Talking, Lifelike Video?
When people think about artificial intelligence, they rarely imagine the technology being used to sift through complex data sheets or find out how many people buy something because of a billboard, or figure out when a dog has sniffed cancer cells. That’s typically the kind of thing AI is being used for these days – and while they’re all cool, the common Dick and Jane probably aren’t getting all too hyped up about it.

Google Cloud Will Shutter Its IoT Core Service Next Year
Google will shutter its IoT core service next year. The company also sent an email to customers announcing the change. It believes that having partners manage the process for customers is a better way to go. The market was worth almost $55 billion last quarter, with google accounting for 10% of that.
