Greetings everyone!
The main focus of the issue this week is around the data analytics of the Internet of Things. Data has been collected since the early days of automation in factories. However, we are just now getting to the point of understanding just what this data can provide in terms of real ROI. Additionally, it is now much easier to mash up the data across multiple sources and feeds from security, to social and environmental.
Besides the focus on data analytics, we first cover the more general news of the week and a very cool Kickstarter that is working to make global open source and free connected network for the Internet of Things.
I hope you enjoy this issue and please be sure and tweet it to your followers!

Taxonomy of IoT Usecases: Seeing IoT Forest from the Trees
This is a great article giving an overview of some of the terms we use and hear in this industry. I found this quote particularly interesting, "Analytics are present in almost all usecases. One of the key, yet often unspoken, assumption is that all data get collected and analyzed later." I think it begs the question, if we don't use the data, why are we collecting it?
