I don't agree with some of what the author states regarding confusion, however with Samsung being a player both in the hardware and now the cloud based IoT platform market, they are in a very interesting position to own the entire ecosystem. Very similar what Apple has done in the consumer space. Is Samsung setting up to own the IoT ecosystem?

Wow! I find this technology extremely fascinating and major game changer as it's developed further. Being able to extract a small amount of energy of out thin air will allow some really cool new and exciting solutions to be developed.
