Google Founder's vc Fund Sees Big Future for Israeli IoT Tech
Israel is one of the fastest growing countries to embrace the concepts of the IoT. I co-founded a local conference and non-profit called IoT Fuse with the mission of getting wider adoption, collaboration and connections between everyone in the industry. However, if you take a look at the numbers of people in the IoT Meetup in Isreal you'll see they are over 3,200 people. Most people wouldn't know it but Isreal is leading the world in the IoT.
Sensor-Based 'Passive' Buying Expected to Make up 15% of All Purchases in 2020
When devices start being internet enabled, not only can data be pushed or pulled, the devices can start taking intelligent action. One of those things will be to automatically service themselves. This is virtually non-existent today, but I believe we will see huge benefits and massive growth with this functionality in the future.

Hacked Medical Devices May Be The Biggest Cyber Security Threat In 2016
Following on a number of other articles I have posted in IoT security, this one focuses on the medical device market. It talks specifically around the idea of ransomware when people have implanted devices. I take a lot of this with a grain of salt as many of these potential security scenarios are a little overblown, IMHO.
US Homeland Security Wants Heavy-Duty IoT Protection
Another article showing why security of the Internet of Things is so key in not only consumer applications, but government agencies as well. I'm already starting be engaged by clients to consult with them on how they should be approaching security and where the pitfalls are the industry is going around security. It's definitely a growing concern and market need that will be filled by experts and companies in the field.

The Power of Cognitive Computing and the Internet of Things
This article touches a number of the areas where I see the internet providing value to manufactures, but using sensors helps companies in the retail industry correlate product demand to all types of changes. The article focuses on weather changes in real time, but I believe that there's a lot of other opportunities to look at all types of usage patterns and conditions.
